New to You Jewelry Exchange
Refresh your showcases by trading slow-moving or aged pieces from your own inventory for new-to-you pieces from fellow Indiana jewelers — in person, at the annual conference. Every trade is a private, one-to-one deal between two stores, documented on an approved form.
What it is
- An in-person trading event for IJA member stores, held at or around the conference.
- A way to move aged inventory and freshen your cases without a wholesale markdown.
- Bilateral trades, negotiated directly between two stores and documented on the approved Jewelry Exchange Form.
- Tax-exempt when both stores exchange valid Indiana ST-105 resale certificates.
What it's not
- Not a marketplace. There are no online listings, no bidding, and no automated matching.
- IJA never sets or suggests values or prices, and is not a party or broker to any trade.
- Not a venue for discussing retail prices, margins, or dividing customers — see the antitrust statement.
- Every trade is independent and off-platform — settled between the two stores on their own terms.
